The Everyday

Oil Paintings by Michael McSorley
May 10, 2024 – June 9, 2024

Ventures Gallery

My paintings are a continuation of my childhood fascination with the visual world. At the age of 8, I was taking photos with an old film camera. My pictures of bicycle wheels, sewage pumps and other inane objects vexed my parents but predicted my future creative production. I developed a sensitivity for the mundane.

Sea Change

Oil Paintings by Stephen Estrada
May 10, 2024 – June 9, 2024

Tubbs Gallery

Our connection to the sea goes back beyond time. Its moods and rhythms affect our daily lives. For me the ocean has always been a source of solace, mystery and adventure. For many years I have volunteered rebuilding in communities affected by hurricanes that have come ashore in Florida, New Orleans and Puerto Rico. I have intimate knowledge of the ocean’s beauty and its awesome power.

Sitting Pretty: A Collections Showcase

Sitting Pretty
May 10, 2024 – July 14, 2024

DeWitt Gallery

“The most prominent feature of a portrait is the person who sits for the artist creating the work. The same can be said for an object that serves to inspire a piece of sculpture. Here you will find a unique ensemble of works from the Rehoboth Art League’s Collection that illustrate the notion of Sitting Pretty, whether whimsical or serious, abstract or representational.”
