A Fish Tale

From the Winter 2020 issue
It was a beautiful morning in the Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge and the lighting was just right. I said to myself this will be a good day to capture something special. There were many shorebirds flying this day. What a sight it was to see the sanderling flocks flying so fast. Then I spotted this snowy egret by the bridge on Prime Hook Road. I sat along the water by the bridge, watching him taking plunge after plunge. Then he came up with this minnow. I saw his fish tail and knew I too had a fish tale to tell.
