Picture Perfect Pose

My family loves enjoying summer evenings out on the bay. We will often go out in the boat and anchor off Cape Henlopen State Park near the East End Lighthouse. Sometimes we’ll just sit and read, sometimes we jump in for a swim. When we dropped the anchor on this early August evening, there were dolphins in every direction — some were gently breaking the surface and some were splashing around, like they were playing. We rarely see them jump completely out of the water, but all of a sudden, this one was in the air — repeatedly! I felt like the dolphin was posing for a picture, and I was happy to oblige.
