The Perfect Storm
This winter day started with a mixture of mostly rain and some snow near my home in Lewes, not a promising day for snow photography. But I checked the weather and just a little above Lewes along the coast it was all snow so I headed north. The farther I traveled the more the rain was gone and wet snow was sticking to fields, trees and buildings. To make things even better, the snow was not sticking to the roads so I was able to cover a lot of ground relatively quickly. I found this barn near Milford. The antique signs added touches of color on an otherwise gray day, and the textured effect makes the old barn seem frozen in time. For me as a photographer, this was the perfect storm.
